Recap Reluctance

The thought of even attempting a "summer recap" post is overwhelming!  I've been MIA since the end of March and I want to catch up on everything I missed.  But let's be real, if I am going to continue this on a semi-regular basis going forward, I can't commit to such overwhelming posts.  I need to keep it simple.  But I do feel an obligation, if only to myself, to keep this blog going.  So I'm going to do a series of quick little catch-ups of some of the highlights (and maybe some low-lights) of the past few months.

Preview of things to look forward (or really, backwards) to:
  • Girls Nights
  • North Carolina
  • Live Music - All summer long!
  • Family reunions/graduations/birthdays
  • Wedding Fun
  • Career Change!
Happy Tuesday ya'll!

Day 27- Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I want to be committed...so while browsing other blogs, I stumbled upon this challenge and thought it would be a good idea for me.  It truly has been a great outlet for me to be able to share some of my life...even though I think only like 2 people actually read this!  Haha...but that's OK.  This is more set up as a prep for when something exciting does happen.  Already did the wedding thing, but I wanted to have this blog in case we moved or started a family so that our friends and family can keep up with our lives and see pictures of what we are doing.  I decided to do this challenge so I would get used to blogging often.  After it's over, I probably won't post everyday, but at least I'll think about my blog and remember to post often.
If you are thinking about starting a blog, just do it.  The best part is that I in a few years, I can go back and read about it and when facebook goes south and I delete it (I'm just assuming that'll happen), I have my blog full of pictures and memories and comments from friends.

Day 12- How you found out about blogger and why you have one

I was a day behind, so Day 11 and 12 are both coming today!

This one is easy...I already knew about blogger from friends in the past who had created blogs when they moved away or studied abroad.  I never really thought about doing one for myself until I was getting married.  BUT of course, I didn't actually get around to creating the blog until months later.  I owe it's start to Ashley M because she had recently started a blog, which I loved, and it finally gave me the motivation to create one.  And I must say, I absolutely should have started this sooner.  Blogging is very relaxing, and therapeutic, and fun!

I hope that I keep up with this, because I think the best part about having the blog is being able to look back.  I hope that many years from now, I can look back at my wedding posts, or my weekend recaps, and it will help me remember how I felt at that time in my life.
