Sentimental Saturday Song

I have no idea if I will continue this trend of posting songs on Saturday, but if I do, the series will be called "Saturday Song."  Clever, I know.  I came up with it all on my own.  I did throw in the word "Sentimental" today because this song does have some history for me...and perhaps a future as well! I may be singing this song in Lindsey's wedding, which is appropriate, because we sung this song together in choir in high school and also as a trio with Stephanie at Lindsey's piano recital at graduation.  Check it out, Charles Dickens can write some beautiful poetry.  The link to it actually being sung is at the bottom.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory

I don't know how to pick a favorite memory!  I have so many good ones.  Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of pictures on my computer from my childhood and I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for them to scan in.  However, I can choose one significant memory that affected my future the most.  

During our first summer together, Ryan and I went to Six Flags and had such a fun day.  There's a story behind a lot of this, but I accidentally said "I love you," but he didn't hear it...but I was worried the rest of the day because I was sure I freaked him out and he was going to dump me.  But it also freaked me out that I said it, because I said it more like I say it to a friend, but the more I thought about it, I realized I really did love him already.  On the way out of the park, we made wishes in the big fountain, mine was that he would love me the way I loved him or something like that.  We promised we wouldn't tell each other our wishes until they came true.  Well, my came true soon after!  However, Ryan never shared his with me...until many years down the road.  

When he proposed, he explained how we had made wishes in the fountain that day at Six Flags and he was hoping I could make his wish come true!  Obviously, I said yes and we have continued to make great memories since...but I think this day will go down in our books as the day we realized we were meant for each other, and that's a pretty awesome memory if you ask me!

Day 5- A picture of somewhere you've been to

Manhattan

I bet you all thought I would pick Costa Rica!  Nah, there are already pictures of Costa Rica on here.  I have been to New York City three times and I hope I go many many more times!  This picture was taken on my third trip on the Statue of Liberty Ferry as we passed Ellis Island.  I have many good memories from NYC and I have been there with a variety of friends, and even my sister and my mom!  I can't wait to make more good memories there, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Day 3- A picture of you and your friends

I know this picture is pretty old...but it's still one of my favorites!  These are my best girls friends from high school just before we all left for college.  It was an amazing night, minus Shae getting sick (poor baby!), and those memories will last me a lifetime.  I do wish the post was "pictures of you and your friends" but you know I would have gotten carried away!  SO here is the one picture I narrowed it down to.  There is another day post with another picture, so watch out college friends...it's coming! =)
