It's Fall

It's my most favorite time of year, and it's going to be extra special this year because my sis gets married two weeks from tomorrow!  I'm looking forward to:
  • Walks with crunchy leaves under my feet
  • Pumpkin patch/apple orchard visits
  • FOOTBALL
  • Halloween (I have an actual costume party to attend this year)
  • The changing colors
  • Fall decorations - I still need to get mine out!
  • Our annual trip to McGregor/Prairie Du Chien
  • The Bears/Lions game at Soldier Field, November 10th
  • Getting out my sweaters (and hopefully buying more, ha!)
  • Crock Pot Meals
  • And of course, MY SISTER'S WEDDING!

Last weekend, we kicked off fall in Omaha.  I have a few more pictures on my camera, but I haven't uploaded them yet.  We stayed with Andy and Ashley Friday night, hit the golf course Saturday, went out for seafood at Shucks Saturday night, hit the town with Laura and Jason and ended the night with euchre at the Jones'.  Sunday morning, I hit up Trader Joe's, we watched Ashley finish her first half marathon and then we grabbed a delicious breakfast at 11-Worth Cafe.  It was wonderful!

We were done!
Photo Bomb...thanks Andy! ;-)

Omaha is always a fun time.  Now, go and enjoy your weekends...happy Friday!!

Some Things Have Happened

I feel so lame!! I get on a good kick of posting, and then I let life (or True Blood) rule my free time and I get behind!  Ugh!  I anticipate this may happen again closer to Em's wedding, which is October 12th. Yay! :)

Let's see, since the last weekend recap (too long ago), I have spent an evening with my Little and my brother watching The Dark Knight, and went dancing at an outdoor concert with my friend Jess, before which we enjoyed some Daiquiris.  This was a super fun weekend to enjoy right before I left for Vegas.
Then we left on Sunday to go to Vegas...you can see another post for that!
The following weekend, there was a 5k that benefited our friend Kyle, who has been blessed with the news that he is heading to Duke this month to begin pulmonary therapy which will greatly increase his chances of being put on the lung transplant list!  God is good. <3 font="">
Since then, we've been a little lazy, enjoying time at home.  We've been resting up, because we head to Omaha this weekend!  We can't wait!
Monday morning work picture...UGH!

Vegas Baby: September 1-5

We spent our first night with out with Jenny and Elnar, Ryan's aunt and uncle before heading back to stay at their house.
Monday morning, we had breakfast and then spent the entire day swimming with the boys!  We had a wonderful dinner with the whole family and then played bingo that night, where I won $100!
Tuesday we went shopping with Rita, Ryan's grandma, played more Bingo and had another family dinner.  After dinner, we headed back to Jenny & Elnar's for poker, a staple in our family vacations!
On Wednesday morning, we enjoyed one last round of Bingo with Jenny and Rita and had some breakfast before they dropped Ryan and I off on the strip for our last night in Vegas.
Our time with family was cut way too short, but our last day/night on the strip was wonderful!  We spent most of the day walking around the strip, enjoying the 105 degree day with a couple beers.  And then we decided to go up the "Eiffel Tower", which was so worth it.  The views were incredible!
After Paris, we walked around the Bellagio, and Monte Carlo before heading back to New York New York, our hotel, and getting a drink at the Nine Fine Irishmen Pub.
We headed to our room and got ready for night.  We had so much fun!  We ate at the buffet at MGM Grand, went to Coyote Ugly for some drinks, watch Dueling Pianos at a "Times Square" bar, gambled at Excalibur, got lots of free drinks gambling at New York New York, and bounced in and out of Coyote Ugly for lots of dancing!  It was loads of fun!
We left on Thursday afternoon and I returned to work on Friday.  Until next time Vegas!
