The Week of Firsts

Last week was dubbed the "week of firsts," though there were not a lot of firsts that actually happened...it's just that one of them was kind of a big deal!  Last week was my first week on Weight Watchers in over three years.  When I did it three years ago, I lost 17 pounds before I quit the program.  Over the past few years, I have obviously not been very good at holding myself accountable, so I decided, after many debates with myself, to try again!

I had a successful first week, I stuck with my tracking and I lost 2.4 pounds!  I normally wouldn't post about my weight-loss, just because I definitely wouldn't want to post about my weight gain.  But I think that opening up in my blog is going to help me express my feelings, triumphs, and frustrations, and hopefully help others who are working towards their own goals.  Plus, this adds a few more people that I feel I need to be accountable to.

I am not comfortable posting pictures of my progress along the way...but maybe as I get closer to my goal and feel more comfortable in my own skin, I can post a before and after picture.  If you have ever done Weight Watchers before and have any advice, please share.  If you are interested in starting Weight Watchers and want to know more about it, please let me know.  And if you have any other secrets to success from other aspects of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I would love to hear from you!

Happy Monday!
